Icelandair has cancelled flights to and from Boston and New York today as the two cities experience heavy snowfall.

The Boston Globe is reporting that the city is expecting up to 91 cm of snow to accumulate over the course of today and into the night, and has shut down the airport possibly through to Sunday. Similarly, New York City is bracing for up to 50 cm of snow, The New York Times reports.

Those who were expecting to fly with Icelandair between Keflavík and the U.S. east coast are advised to consult Icelandair’s website or Facebook page.
