American Border Collie who escaped from travel case at Keflavík Airport is still missing

Hunter, an American Border Collie is still missing in Keflavík after his travel case burst open on an airport conveyor belt on Friday, while in transit to the U.S, reports Vísir.

Hunter’s owners, who realised upon arrival that their dog did not make the flight, are distressed and offering their eternal gratitude as well as a 200,000 ISK reward to the person who finds their dog. Icelandair is also offering two plane tickets to the person who finds Hunter.

Iceland’s emergency services have been searching for Hunter over the weekend, flying helicopters over the Suðurnes area in hopes of tracking him down. Icelanders have also been on the lookout and a search party organised by self professed “animal friend” Árni Stefán Árnason set off from Icelandair Hotel this morning to continue the search.

Correction

Hunter was in transit from the U.S – to Sweden. Not, as stated above, in transit to the U.S.
