World-renowned CrossFit champion, Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir, has stripped down to bare all in the latest and final print edition of ESPN’s Body Issue. The Icelandic queen of CrossFit expresses gratitude for this opportunity. “This has been a bucket list thing for me,” she says. “This is one of the coolest things I’ll ever do.”

Katrín appeared four times at the CrossFit Games. She won the women’s championship in 2015 and 2016, following in the footsteps of Anníe Mist Þórisdóttir, and continuing the tradition of Icelandic women winning multiple titles.

American photographer Benedict Evans went with Katrín to southern Iceland to photograph the shoot. “I am so grateful to be part of ESPN’s photography team and to have been involved in all these amazing projects around the world…Not least for this unforgettable trip to Iceland, the beautiful cover of the picture and all thirteen pages in the magazine,” he said.

The magazine plans to transition to a digital format, which is timely considering the popularity of Twitter and Instagram. Katrín and Evans both posted some of the photos to their own Instagrams, which you can see here and here.
