Writer and photographer Gabrielle Motola received a spark of inspiration from Iceland’s rhetoric to “feminize the banking system” after the 2008 crash. Her curiosity was kindled, and soon a fire began to blaze.

For the past three years Gabrielle has travelled to and from Reykjavík compiling interviews, essays and photographs that revolve around the far-reaching topic of gender equality, based on encounters and experiences here in Iceland.

KEX Hostel hosts the book release party, tonight at 18:00. Musical performances by Alison Grant (kimono), Pétur Ben and Kosmodod begin at 20:00.

Entry is free and alcohol will be provided by Miller’s Gin!
