The annual Reykjavík Pride festival has started, and there’s a lot going on.

This year’s programme is loaded with things to do, see and hear, starting today with a photo exhibition on the now-rainbow-coloured Skólavörðustígur covering the history of the festival since its initial inception in 1993.

Tonight, you have two very promising events in store. At 21:00 at Iðnó, there will be a tribute to musician and lesbian activist Stella Hauks, featuring musicians playing covers of her songs, and Stella’s friends sharing tales from the life of this amazing woman (in Icelandic).

At the same time, up at Kiki Bar, there will be a pub quiz, in English, with prizes and “special quiz offers” available at the bar.

Check out the full programme for more details and information.
