The Metropolitan Police trapped a polar bear yesterday after sightings were reported in Vesturbær, Reykjavík, reports Vísir.

Thankfully upon closer inspection the police realised it was not in fact a real polar bear wandering the streets but a life-sized stuffed bear most likely stolen from the front of a souvenir shop in town.

Regardless, the police transported the bear back to the station where it remains securely locked up and well looked after until its owners fetch it.
