English paralympian Sean Rose is planning to snow kite across Vatnajökull glacier this April, reports RÚV.

Rose, who became paralysed from the waist down after falling while working as a ski instructor, will be snow kiting across the glacier in specialised equipment designed to allow him to sit and ski whilst a kite pulls him across the snow and ice.

Rose is planning the trip to Iceland in a bid to raise money for the charity Wings For Life and will be the first to attempt to cross Vatnajökull glacier in this way.

Following his accident Rose became a World Champion Water Skier, Winter X-Games medalist and double Paralympian.

You can watch an interview with Rose discussing his plans on ITV.
