From Iceland — A Shitty Rescue Job

A Shitty Rescue Job

Published June 5, 2013

A farmer in the Northeast called for the aid of a rescue squad to save piles of shit to dry land.

The farmer lives near Hofsá river which was flooding on Tuesday and causing a serious threat to the farmer‘s quality sheep manure, which he intends to use to smoke lamb meat in the fall, for the Christmas season.

Mbl.is reports that the rescue squad Vopni, in Vopnafjörður, responded quickly, showing up with a small boat to transport the shit to safety. The shit stacks were on a piece of dry land surrounded by water so the rescuers had to shovel the manure into sacks before loading it onto the boat.

It may have been a shitty rescue operation but it was total success, Christmas is saved!
