A 71-year-old man facing sex crime charges for being naked in his own home has bought himself curtains, much to the relief of his neighbours.
As the Grapevine reported, Ólafur Bertelsson is being charged a second time with a sex offence after his neighbours repeatedly complained that he walks around in his apartment naked with the windows uncovered, and sits on his balcony naked, too.
DV now reports that Ólafur has put curtains in his windows. While this has been a source of relief for many of his neighbours, an anonymous neighbour is less than satisfied.
“I just want him to stop this, but he hasn’t,” she said. “I don’t care if he’s naked in his own home. He stands in the window so everyone can see him. I’m nervous about the summer, if he goes out on his balcony naked again. My boys don’t want to be outside while they know about him.”
Ólafur has maintained that he has every right to be naked in his own home.
