The 4th Japanese Speech Contest For High School/College Students

Published April 19, 2011

The Japanese Embassy in Iceland has announced that the 4th Japanese Speech Contest For High School and College Students will be held this month.
The contest will be held at Mikligarður, Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 8:10 to 9:45. This speech contest is co-organised by Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð, Fjölbrautaskólinn við Ármúla and the Embassy of Japan in Iceland.
The contest tests the students’ proficiency at spoken Japanese. The Japanese embassy frequently organises events for Icelanders to take part in, such as the Japan Festival held at the University of Iceland every year, which introduces Icelanders to numerous aspects of Japanese society, both ancient and modern.
A full programme for the event can be found here after 20 April.
