Landsbanki bank now runs Pizza-Pizza ehf., the Icelandic franchise of Domino’s Pizza formerly owned by entrepreneur Magnús Kristinsson, according to mbl.is.
After the 2008 crash, Landsbanki acquired all of Pizza-Pizza’s shares and debts. Now they are restructuring the finances and management and they hope to sell the company by June.
In the meantime, however, they are operating all fourteen Domino’s Pizza shops in Iceland, three of which are outside the capital region in Akranes, Akureyri, and Keflavík.
