Singer and songwriter Emilíana Torrini will hold a concert in Iceland, on 20 February, at Háskólabíó. Tickets go on sale today at 10:00, and can be purchased at midi.is, or by calling 540 9800.
Torrini, who to most needs no introduction, has been performing since the age of seven, but first gained greater attention with the release of Love In the Time of Science, in 1999. In 2005, the album Fisherman’s Woman broke into the UK charts. She attracted international attention for her vocals in Gollum’s Song, featured in the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
Torrini has done collaborations with numerous artists, having co-written songs for Kylie Minogue, and toured with bands such as Sting, Moby and Dido. For more on Torrini, visit her official site.
