New Sigur Rós Album Taking Off In America

Sigur Rós’ new album, Valtari, has been selling exceptionally well in the US just days after its release.
Vísir reports that since the album debuted in the US late last month, it has already moved 26,000 units. Furthermore, Billboard will announce tomorrow that the album is #7 on the charts.
The achievement marks a first for the band, who have never ranked so high before. They did manage to hit 15th place in 2008, when their album Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust moved 32,000 units in the US.
