The Grapevine Music Awards Party 2019 took place last night at Húrra in downtown Reykjavík. It was packed out, and full of sparky atmosphere, good vibes and beaming faces. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Jono Duffy, with Grapevine staff members and panellists on hand to give out the trophies (drinkable trophies, at that), medals and certificates; bagdad brothers, GRÓA, and Jóipé x Króli performed live, and DJ Katla kept the party going into the night.
You can get a rundown of who won here, and see interviews with the winners here; the ceremony and performances were also live-streamed on Facebook (see part one here and part two here). Photographer Ómar Sverrisson was on hand to capture what went down: see his gallery below.
We at Grapevine like to to thank everyone who was involved in making the awards happen, from the panellists to photographers, writers, winners, videographers, our sponsor Viking Brugghús, and everyone who turned up to make this a night to remember. We love you all! See you next year!
