Scorching Heats This Weekend

Starting tomorrow, temperatures will finally reach something akin to summer (an Icelandic one at least), with temperatures through the weekend hitting the dizzying highs of 17°C.

We at the Grapevine office are somewhat conflicted about the sun and summer. Our office is located on the top floor of an old building and every time it is warm out we roast. Our misery is further compounded because we, as most people of Reykjavík, have to live with constant construction outside our window. This means that when the weather is nice we effectively have two options: to die from heat or from incessant racket.

Don’t you forget about us

But we can easily rejoice on behalf of others, all we ask is just, that when tomorrow you are lounging in a swimming pool, drinking Einstök with a slice of orange, or barbecuing SS pylsur, think of us. Don’t forget that somewhere a room full of writers is boiling alive.
