When wealthy celebrities travel they want to stay as far away as possible from us townies. Therefore, their accommodation of choice in Iceland is the mysterious Trophy Lodge in Biskupstungur in the south of Iceland.

As it is with Masonic Lodges, you won’t find this lodge advertised anywhere and any information about it is very hard to come by. But in February, Forbes reported on the dastardly dwelling, writing that it served “Michelin star gourmet food” and included something the article referred to as a “legendary hot tub” (we assume it is something from the Sagas).

According to owner Jóhannes Ásbjörnsson, who also owns the far less fancy Múlakaffi, the lodge was where Jay Z chose to host his birthday part. There, a hoard of celebrities—including, but not exclusive to, Bill Gates enjoyed cake and shared pleasantries.

The most exciting thing about visiting Iceland is uncovering its many secrets. The problem is that most of them have now been discovered, but not the Trophy Lodge. Fuck selfies by Gullfoss or pictures of Hallgrímskirkja, go celebrity hunting in Biskupstungur and snap a candid shot of Bill Gates taking a dip in a “legendary hot tub” filled with hundred dollar bills.
