Ben Affleck will be in Iceland this weekend, on the occasion of filming being done for the upcoming Justice League, in which he plays Batman.

The Boston Globe has confirmed Affleck’s visit to Iceland, but he will be spending most of his time in remote Djúpavík, where some scenes for the superhero movie are being filmed.

RÚV points out that this is not the first time Batman has visited Iceland. When Christopher Nolan rebooted the franchise with Batman Begins – starring Christian Bale in the title role – part of the film was shot in Iceland, in 2005.
