Icelandic MMORPG, EVE Online, has been nominated for a BAFTA in the Persistent Game 2015 category.
The category for persistent game is a new one for the BAFTA’s and recognises a growing number of titles that feature online multiplayer worlds. Activision’s Destiny and the battle arena title League of Legends are among the nominees battling it out with CCP Games’ space epic EVE Online.
EVE Online, which celebrates 12 years since its release this year, will attend the British Academy Video Games Awards Ceremony in London on the 12th of March. Comedian and actor Rufus Hound will be hosting the awards for the first time.
This year’s EVE Fanfest will be held shortly after the BAFTA’s from March 19-21 in Reykjavík.
