The Reykjavík International Games is being held from January 16 – 25. Swimmers from around the world came to compete in the swimming competitions taking place on January 16 – 18. Luckily, we had a photographer there to give you a taste of all the action. The European champion, Mie Østergaard Nielsen from Denmark, placed 1st in 100 m backstroke with a time of 1:01.78—beating Iceland’s Olympian Eygló Ósk Gústafsdóttir, who placed second with a time of 1:02.99.
