Two former CCP employees, Ívar Emílsson and Oddur Snær Magnússon have teamed up with designer Mundi Vondi to create a new bite sized massive multiplayer mobile phone game called ReRunners.

Under the banner of Klang Games based out of Berlin the Icelandic trio have built an open world platform game, where players enter multiplayer challenges with friends and strangers alike.

“We were pretty certain the mobile market would keep evolving, and demand for deeper and more engaging games would rise,” said game designer Ívar. “We felt an open world multiplayer platformer would be a great fit, it would both cater towards our strengths in creating multiplayer games, and give us experience in developing for mobile.”

With a launch date in the early part of this year, those interested in beta testing now can sign up via Klang Games’ Twitter or Facebook page.

“The gameworld is in another dimension, a dimension where Death is your friend, and your friends are enemies,” said creative lead Mundi Vondi. “It’s quite a big world with more than one hundred levels, and we are still building it and will continue as the game grows.”
