The majority of Icelanders playing Star Wars Commander, an iOS title and Disney’s first game in the franchise, prefer to play the Empire, reports Mashable.
In the simple mobile strategy game, reminiscent of Supercell’s popular Clash of Clans, users can choose between aligning themselves with the Rebels – Luke, Leia and Han etc – or with the Empire – Vader, Emperor Palpatine and the Starship Troopers. Boba Fett as we all know, is his own man.
Yesterday Disney revealed which side gamers chose when playing the game, and in Iceland 51.7% of users prefer the Dark Side.
The results are in line with the world average as everyone seems to lean slightly to the Dark Side. Overall 52.4% chose to play as the Empire contra to 47.6% opting for the Rebel Alliance.
Unsurprisingly there is a large amount of Rebel sympathisers in South America, southern Europe and the Middle East.
Meanwhile the Empire dominates the northern hemisphere, though the strongest Imperial sentiment lies with the Russians who chose to play as the Dark Side nearly 58% of the time.
