From Iceland — Retro Stefson Go Platinum in Iceland

Retro Stefson Go Platinum in Iceland

Published December 30, 2013

It’s been a big year for local wunderkinder Retro Stefson, starting with their self-titled record hitting Gold at the end of 2012 and ending with the same album going Platinum—that is, selling 10,000 copies—in Iceland just before Christmas, Vísir reports.
Having spent much of the year touring, the band will be closing out 2013 with a performance tonight as part of the Síðasta Sjéns (Last Chance) concert with Sísý Ey and Hermigervill. Following tonight’s show the band will take a much needed rest from touring and will be working on new material for the first part of 2014.
If you can’t be at the concert tonight, you can still enjoy at least a taste of a live show. Check out Retro Stefson performing “Fall,” “She Said,” and “Glow,” at the Electronic Beats Festival in Podgorica in September 2013 below.
