Evidence of arson was found in a fire at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Garðabær this morning, Vísir reports.
When fire-fighters arrived at the scene early this morning, the fire was contained in one room and it did not take very long to put it out. Fire-fighters then found an empty gas canister on the floor and signs of breaking-and-entering into the church. The damage from the fire is reported to be minimal.
There was no evidence pointing to a suspect and the matter has been turned over to police for further investigation.
