A recent survey shows that Iceland has the second highest number of Facebook users based on population, RÚV reports.
Facebook users are currently 72.4% of the population, coming in behind Qatar at 81.2%, according to a survey on Socialbakers. Women make up 52% of users and men 48%. The survey also shows that the social networking site is most used by people aged 25-34, followed by people 18-24.
The site also indicates that Icelanders are far more active on Facebook than their Nordic neighbours. Norway, Sweden and Denmark’s populations all rank around the 50% mark.
Following Iceland in the ranking are the United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Taiwan.
