From Iceland — Burger Joint Opens In London

Burger Joint Opens In London

Published April 12, 2012

Hamborgarabúllan, one of Iceland’s most treasured hamburger shops, will soon be opening in London.
For Icelanders and expats alike, Hamborgarabúllan is the place to go for burgers and fries done in the style of classic American burger joints. Their success has allowed them to open numerous locations in Iceland, and now, their take on the hamburger will be expanding to Europe.
Viðskiptablaðið reports that Hamborgarabúllan will be opening a franchise in downtown London. Tómas A. Tómasson, the owner of the chain, said the new location “lies parallel to Oxford Street. But I guess it’s best to say that it’s close to Debenham’s, because every Icelander knows where Debenham’s is.”
The venture is being made in cooperation with the owner of Laundromat Café and Úrilla górilla. This new franchise will open next month, and Tómas stressed that the menu will be the same as in Iceland. Icelanders in London who miss these burgers, take note.
