Icelandic Festival In Paris Begins

For the fourth year in a row, the Air d’Islande festival is being held in Paris.
According to a statement from festival organisers, Air d’Islande will have on offer music, modern art and film from Iceland. In addition to the Paris location, there will also be an Icelandic festival at Chessy-Sur-Marne. There, attendees will witness, among other things, the band For A Minor Reflection performing, and the film Ikingut will be shown.
At the Paris locale, renowned Icelandic artist Rúrí will have her works on display. There will also be a line-up of bands, including For a Minor Reflection, Reykjavík!, kimono, Kríu Brekkan, Lazyblood og Snorri Helgason. Icelandic movies will also be shown, among them Brim, Mamma Gógó, Amma Lo-Fi, Reykjavík rafmögnuð (a documentary about the electronic music scene in Reykjavík), the Sigur Rós documentary Heima and numerous short films.
The festival is held in cooperation between the Icelandic embassy in Paris, Icelandair, Inspired by Iceland and the Capital Office.
