New payment methods for buses was discussed in the most recent Strætó bs. board meeting last Friday. The board is said to have agreed to pursue new payment methods, going forward.

Modern payment methods have been somewhat lacking in the Iceland’s bus system. At a time when it is possible to use a credit card to buy a soda in a vending machine or buy movie tickets with your phone there are more payment options than ever available to Strætó bs.
