Sam Film have closed a deal with streaming giant Netflix to bring the service to Iceland, reports RÚV.

It is estimated that up to 20.000 Icelandic homes already utilise Netflix – which streams TV and film content to its users.

The service is expected to launch in Iceland later this year and all content will have the option of Icelandic subtitles.

The Icelandic homes who already use Netflix alas, will most likely not read this article as they will be too busy watching the new season of House of Cards which was released last night. But when they come up for air, be sure to share the news.
