Eight fledgling political parties announced on Monday that they would be uniting to form a single party to run in the 27 April parliamentary elections.
The new party has been named the Household Party (“Heimilanna”), and will be running candidates in all constituencies, RÚV reports. The new party is chaired by Pétur Gunnlaugsson with Inga Ingólfsdóttir stepping in as vice-chairman.
