Published June 12, 2012

Foreigners living in Iceland will have the chance to meet the presidential candidates tomorrow, and the official site of the presidential elections has an English version up.
The Intercultural Center has announced that for those interested in getting to know the candidates better, there will be a “a conference where the presidential candidates will introduce themselves and their cause”. To wit:

The goal of the conference is to enhance the participation of immigrants in Icelandic politics. Nine interpreters will be present to interpret everything that is spoken over to the following languages: Arabic, English, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese. The conference will be held on Wednesday June 13th from 5 to 7 pm in the Community Center at Aflagrandi 40.

The general public is welcome to attend, free of charge.
In related news, it should be mentioned that the official site of the 2012 presidential race now has an English page up, detailing such topics as voter eligibility, who can run for president and how you can find out where to vote.
