From Iceland — Icelandair to Fly Year-Round to Toronto

Icelandair to Fly Year-Round to Toronto

Published February 5, 2013

We’ve all been there: it’s the dead of Icelandic winter and you’re hit with a very specific hankering for poutine, a caesar, and a delicious coffee crisp. “But such pleasures can only be found in the true north, strong and free,”  you think to yourself, “and transiting through the States is just too much hassle, eh.”
Well, hold on to your toque, buddy!
Icelandair announced Monday that they will begin year-round flights to Toronto four-times weekly beginning March 8th. Toronto joins Boston, New York, Seattle and Denver among the North American destinations Icelandair services year-round. So Canuck-lovers of Reykjavík are that much closer to enjoying a refreshing bag of milk, or starting the day out right with a double-double and some back bacon… and Iceland-lovers of Toronto are that much closer to fermented shark meat and sheep. It’s a win-win!
Icelandair also announced that it will begin daily flights to and from Paris and Amsterdam next winter.
