Vísir reports that the strongest man in Iceland, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, is preparing to take part in the competition to become the strongest man in the world.
Hafþór, also known as the Mountain, has revealed his diet in order to accomplish his dreams. Apparently, this process involves a lot of food:
6:50 – Glutamine and a handful of almonds.
7:30 – 8 eggs, 200 gr oats, blueberries, strawberries and avocado.
9:30 – 400gr beef, 400 gr sweet potatoes, handful of spinach and greens.
11:50 – BCAA and glutamine.
12:00 – 400 gr chicken, 400 gr potatoes, greens and some fruits.
14:00 – Blend 150 gr oats or sweet potatoes, 2 bananas, 150 gr Kellogg’s Rice Krispies, frozen berries, handful of almonds, peanut butter and glutamine.
14:30 – BCAA, glutamine and Vitargo.
17:30 – 60 gr protein and 2 bananas.
18:00 – 500 gr beef, potatoes and greens.
20:30 – 500 gr salmon and 500 gr sweet potatoes.
22:30 – 50 gr casein protein or 6 eggs, avocado, 30 gr almonds and 50 gr peanut butter.
He also drinks a lot of water throughout the day, but a tip he gives on his Facebook page is to drink juices if you want more calories (as if this wasn’t enough).
This diet is probably a piece of cake for the Mountain looking at his history of eating habits.
