The KexReið bicycle race kicks off tomorrow in downtown Reykjavík for the third year running.

Hosted by Kex Hostel and Kría Cycles, the event is open to the general public. The race starts tomorrow at 16:00 at Kex Hostel’s public park, more commonly known as Vitagarður.

From there, competitors will race in a loop in the Skuggahverfi district (race track shown above in gold), with the path closed to car traffic for the duration of the race. Prizes for first, second and third place will be awarded in both men’s and women’s classes.

The registration fee is 3,500 ISK, and you can sign up here.
