Copenhagen was the favourite travel destination for Icelanders this summer, reports Vísir.

London has long been the destination of choice for Icelanders, in the winter months nearly a quarter of flights departing Keflavík airport head to the British capital, but this summer Icelanders have been traveling to Copenhagen instead.

Flights to Paris and New York also increased this summer and came in third and fourth place respectively.
