A fire was put out on the ground floor of Smáralind shopping mall early this morning, reports Vísir.

Mall security detected the fire almost immediately and called the fire department. Due to early detection there was almost no damage done.

The fire department suspects arson. The police have been contacted and have begun an investigation.
