Turnover from usage of foreign credit cards has never been more than this past June, or 14.983 million ISK.
Total turnover during the first 8 months of the year was 67 billion ISK, according to Mbl.is.
That’s 17 million more turnover than from Icelandic credit cards used abroad during the same period.
In comparison to 2008, Icelandic credit- and debit cards then had a turnover of over 60 million ISK during the first 8 months of the year, while foreign turnover was merely around 30 million ISK (present value).
