Diegó, one of Iceland’s most famous cats, has gone missing. His owner shared the news in his dedicated Facebook fan group, which boasts around 15.000 members. According to discussions in the group, Diegó may have been taken from Skeifan, reports Vísir.
Diegó is a well-known regular in the Skeifan area, often spotted lounging in the lobby of Hagkaup or the A4 store, where he enjoys laying on top of stacks of paper. His visits to Skeifan began drawing attention years ago, and he now has a Facebook group, Spottaði Diegó, devoted to Diegó sightings.
A group member posted on Sunday evening, claiming to have seen someone taking Diegó onto a bus.
Diegó’s owner wrote in a comment that he is nowhere to be found — neither at home nor his usual hangouts.
She is urging people to keep an eye out for Diegó, especially if he’s wandering in unfamiliar surroundings.
