Although the music festival itself will be held on November 4th through November 7th, Iceland Airwaves has already announced the first batch of artists who will be performing this year.
On the Icelandic front, the artists who have confirmed their participation include Sin Fang, gugusar, Oyama, Benni Hemm Hemm, dj flugvél og geimskip, Sólveig Matthildur (shown above), K.óla, Andy Svarthol, MSEA, GRÓA, Halldór Eldjárn, Myrkvi, ADHD, Andavald, BSÍ, Júníus Meyvant, Kiriyama Family, Krummi, omotrack, Pale Moon, S.hel, Sinmara and Daughters of Reykjavík (formerly known as Reykjavíkurdætur).
On the international front, there’s Black Pumas (US), Chlobocop (UK), Courtney Barnett (AU), Dorian Electra (US), Dry Cleaning (UK), Erika de Casier (DK), Lynks Afrikka (UK), Metronomy (UK), Squid (UK), Tami T (DE) and The Murder Capital (IE).
More artists will be announced in the weeks and months to come.
