The Icelandic bus company, Stræto, paired up with American illustrator David Sopp to create a hilarious set of images that advise people what and what not to do when riding public transport. David is known for his bestseller “ Safe Baby Handling Tips”, of the same style of drawings and snarky commentary, that was easily recognized by the Icelandic public, reports Fréttablaðið.

We’ve all been there, someone is cutting their nails in the next seat or teenagers are blasting their music in the back of the bus, and all you want is to listen to your podcast on the busway home. Well, Strætó has come up with a way to teach you the basic manners of riding a bus, and it’s fun! “Occasionally we have issues where passengers don’t make themselves visible to the bus or pour hot coffee over themselves and others because they brought coffee in an open container. I wanted to find a way to give good advice without preaching” says Guðmundur Heiðar Helgason, spokesperson for Strætó.

The ideas for the comics came from true stories and common bad experiences people have had in buses, and David drew them to life in a funny way. Since then, the bus company’s social media have skyrocketed in popularity.
