Björk has been nominated for a Grammy, in the category ‘Best Alternative Music Album.’
There are five albums in the category, by Tame Impala, Wilco, My Morning Jacket and Alabama Shakes. Alabama Shakes also made it into the ‘Best Album’ category, alongside Taylor Swift. But, well. It’s the Grammys, innit.
In other Björk-related news – a new Vulnicura video for ‘Mouth Mantra’ came out recently, much of which was shot from inside the singer’s mouth; the Protect The Park Icelandic wilderness conservation campaign that Björk is spearheading has picked up almost 10,000 likes on Facebook; and we interviewed James Merry, Björk’s assistant and collaborator, and the maker of many of of the stitched face-masks seen on the Vulnicura tour.
