Mengi is a fantastic venue and on Saturday there is a showcase from its resident artists.
16:00 – Skúli Sverrisson in Mengi (off-venue)
17:00 – Kippi Kaninus in Mengi
18:00 – Collective Improv
19:00 – Dj Flugvél og Geimskip
Skúli Sverrisson is one of the most amazing artists in Iceland, ever, and his Sería project is a must see.
Kippi Kaninus is an electronic genius and he has a killer band with him.
After Kippi there will be an improv session taking place with Mengi artists, which is sure to be a great journey, and then DJ Flugvél og Geimskip will finish the programme. Steinunn toured with us around the country last year and we are her greatest fans, she has my highest recommendations.
20:00 – Mankan at Gaukurinn or Kælan Mikla at Gamla Bíó
At 20:00 we can choose between Kælan Mikla and Mankan.
Kælan are a super cool post-punk trio who have recently been expanding their sound into synth territory.
Mankan is an experimental electronic project I’m very interested in seeing, Kippi Kaninus and Tom Manoury with all kinds of gear and visuals.
21:40 – kimono at Gamla Bíó
kimono has been one of my favourite bands since I was a teenager. I’ve been to countless shows and they’re always great.
22:50 – QT at Nasa
Crazy pitch shifted energy drink pop. I have no idea what’s going to go down there.
23:30 – Bo Ningen at Gaukurinn
Japanese acid punk. Really look forward to seeing this.
00:30 – NAH at Gaukurinn
A producer doing some crazy beats!
01:00 – Nao at Nasa
Some smooth R&B!!!
02:00 – SOPHIE at Nasa
More weird sounds for your brain. I look forward to Lemonade.
03:30 – Kane West at Húrra
At 3:30 you will of course be at Kane West. He is supposedly the best DJ.
