About 400 Icelanders took part in a League of Legends competition at the University of Reykjavík over the weekend.
League of Legends (LoL) is a multiplayer online battle arena. Released in 2009, it is today a critically-acclaimed game played by millions of people every day, and Iceland is no exception.
Vísir reports that a massive LoL match, hosted by the University of Reykjavík, was held over the weekend and concluded last evening. Conducted by the Computer Science Students’ Union (Tvíund), the ultimate victors were the team Tölvutek Black.
League of Legends has become increasingly more popular in Iceland. So much so, in fact, that even the Independence Party has gotten in on the action.
