The Queen of Denmark, Margrethe Þórhildur, has accepted an invitation from the President of Iceland, to visit Iceland between 12 and 14 November.

She will come here to attend the celebration marking Árni Magnússon’s 350th birth anniversary on November 13th, RÚV reports.

The Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies has put together various events and projects to celebrate the anniversary. In October it held an international conference about manuscripts and on Árni Magnússon’s actual birthday, a gala function will be held at the National Theatre.
