Baltasar Kormákur’s new film, 2 Guns, which premiered last week in the US, topped the Friday box office with 10 million USD income at 3,025 theatres.
2 Guns has received very positive reviews and according to Entertainment Weekly, it looks as if the film’s producer, Universal, will reach its goal of 20 million after the first weekend. In fact, EW predicts 2 Guns will reach 30 million by the end of the weekend.
In second place was The Wolverine, with 6,4 million USD on its second Friday, and The Smurfs 2 took third place with 5,5 million USD after premiering on Wednesday.
