The bus company Strætó bs is now offering an app for both iPhones and Android smart phones.
The apps, which can be downloaded for free here, allow people to know what bus to take to where they want to go, when the next bus arrives, and where the nearest bus stop is.
Reynir Jónsson, the director of Strætó, told reporters that there are already plans in the works to allow people to be able to buy fares through their smartphones, among other ideas.
For the moment, the app is available only for Android and iPhone. However, a Windows Mobile version is scheduled to be on the market on December 15.
