Actor Bill Paxton will soon be starring in a film being directed by Baltasar Kormákur.
Paxton, whose credits include Titanic, Aliens and the critically acclaimed HBO series Big Love, has been doing well for himself since the programme ended last year. He recently starred in a History Channel mini series, Hatfield & McCoys, about the notorious feuding American families.
Baltasar, for his part, has been enjoying success of his own after the release of Contraband – a remake of the Icelandic film Reykjavík Rotterdam – earlier this year. Baltasar starred in the original and directed the remake, which stars Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale.
Variety now reports that Bill Paxton and Baltasar will be teaming up for 2 Guns, directed by Baltasar and already starring Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington. According to Variety, the film “follows a DEA agent and an undercover naval intelligence officer who unwittingly investigate each other as each steals mob money. Paxton will play a high ranking CIA operative.”
