A poll conducted by Gallup shows that ministers not affiliated with any political party enjoy the greatest degree of popularity, while a great number of people are unsatisfied with the prime minister.
Of those polled, 65% said they were happy with the job Minister of Justice Ragna Árnadóttir is doing, and 49% said they were happiest with Minister of Business Gylfi Magnússon. Both have seen a rise in support since the last poll, conducted in September, and both are appointees from outside any political party.
Among political ministers, 44% said they are happy with Minister of Education and Culture Katrín Jakobsdóttir, and 41% are pleased with Minister of Finance Steingrímur J. Sigfússon.
As for Prime Minister Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, only 27% said they were happy with her performace – 56% said they were unsatisfied.
Among the least popular, only 25% are happy with Minister of Industry Katrín Júlíusdóttir, and less than 14% said they were satisfied with the work done by Minister of Health Álfheiður Ingadóttir, Minister of Fishing Jón Bjarnason and Minister of Transportation Kristján L. Möller. On the bright side, a third of respondents had neither a bad nor a good opinion of them.
