Our album-of-2014 winner's guide to the festival

After Sigga of Sísy Éy told us her five most-wanted acts on the Sónar Reykjavík lineup, here are the next five. Below are some bands that our album-of-2014 winner M-Band, aka Hörður Már Bjarnason, will be losing his pants to.

Says he: “These are all tracks that I like for various different reasons – I´ve known the wonderful ‘Imprints’ by Tonik (aka Anton Kaldal) for long time now, and kinda grown into it, having being a part of his live ensemble since 2012. Ghostdigital’s ‘Northern Lights’ and Sophie’s ‘Hard’ both just sound so groovy, weird and aggressive that it is impossible to not be moved by it! Then there is ‘Fan’ by Nisennenmondai and ‘Ugly Drummer’ by Randomer that both are repetitive, trance-like tracks; something I’m looking forward to losing my pants to.”

So, without further ado, here are the tracks for your inspection:

Imprints – Tonik Ensemble

Ghostdigital – Northern Lights

Sophie – Hard

Nisennenmondai – Fan

Randomer – Ugly Drummer
