Location is everything, as the owners of the fish shop Hafberg have been discovering, Vísir reports.
Staff and customers alike were startled last Friday afternoon when a car drove directly through the storefront windows of Hafberg. Owner Geir Már Vilhjálmsson told reporters that no one was hurt, and that it could have been a lot worse.
Geir would know, having been in this situation two other times before. In one such incident, an elderly man had driven his car not only through the storefront glass but right up to the order counter.
“He opened the door, walked up to the counter and said he wanted to order some fish,” Geir recalled. “He had no idea that he had literally driven into the store; he thought he had parked in the lot.”
Geir believes—or rather, is hopeful—that the adage about things happening in threes is true, and that this will be the last time such an incident happens to Hafberg.
