The crew filming Star Wars Episode VII will be arriving in Iceland this April, reportsVísir.
According to Vísir’s sources, members of the film’s production crew have been in Iceland scouting locations like Langjökull glacier for the film and Icelandic production company Truenorth may assist the crew once they arrive in April.
Although nothing is confirmed officially, Vísir’s sources claim that it is possible the shots filmed in Iceland will be used as background for scenes filmed in a studio later.
The new Star Wars trilogy will pick up approximately 30 years after ‘Return of The Jedi’ dropped off and centre around three young leading characters alongside characters from the previous instalments.
